Ajul Shah, MD, FACS
Dr. Ajul Shah is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with subspecialty certification in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. With advanced fellowship training in microsurgery, he has dedicated his career to restoring function and quality of life for patients with complex hand, wrist, and upper-extremity conditions.
As the co-founder of ARMS, Dr. Shah is at the forefront of bionic reconstruction and nerve restoration techniques that enhance prosthetic control and help patients regain mobility and independence. His expertise in Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR) and complex limb salvage procedures has changed the lives of countless patients.
Driven by compassion and innovation, Dr. Shah works tirelessly to ensure that patients with severe limb injuries, amputations, or nerve damage receive cutting-edge surgical care that maximizes function and restores confidence.

Julie Lefever, Lead Nurse
Julie Lefever is a licensed professional nurse who graduated in 2012 with academic honors from Western Suffolk BOCES. She began her nursing career at Suffolk Rehabilitation Center, where she excelled in basic nursing and wound care nursing for 6 years. She then moved to New Jersey and started her career at The Plastic Surgery Center. She is currently the lead nurse for The Center for Hand Upper Extremity Surgery and The ARMS clinic. She is a direct point of contact for patients and is in near-constant communication with both the patients and the rest of the clinical team to optimize and expedite care. She is very excited to be a dedicated member of the ARMS practice.
